Stockholm SkyView is a world-class attraction that takes visitors to the top of the world's largest spherical building, the Avicii Arena. From the top, at 130 meters above sea level, you have an incredible view of the city of Stockholm.
The SkyView consists of two glass gondolas that can each hold up to 16 people, with a maximum load of 1,200 kg. The gondolas are mounted to two rails on the outside of the Avicii Arena and take visitors on a journey to the top of the building. The ride lasts approximately 15 minutes and offers uninterrupted 360-degree views over the city of Stockholm.
In dizzying heights – “On top of the Globe”
The name Avicii Arena is quite new. The building was re-branded in 2021 in honor of the Swedish DJ Tim Bergling, known to the world as Avicii. Tim Bergling, a Stockholm native, sadly passed away in 2018.
Before that the official name was first Stockholm Globe Arena, then Ericsson Globe or just “Globen” to us Swedish locals. Ever since its inauguration in 1989, Globen has been one of Swedens – and Europes – most famous buildings. It's a Stockholm landmark that you really should experience one way or another, why not while enjoying the fantastic view from a SkyView glass gondola.

Visitors can purchase tickets online or at the entrance to SkyView. Prices vary depending on age and time of day but discounts are available for groups and children under 12 years old. It is recommended to book in advance as they often sell out quickly during peak times.

SkyView is open from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday and from 9:30am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Extended skyview opening hours are available during certain holidays and special events such as New Year's Eve when visitors can enjoy spectacular fireworks displays from atop the iconic Avicii Arena.
Getting to SkyView is easy: Simply take the Stockholm Metro Green line straight to ‘Globen' station which is just a couple minutes' walk away. You can't miss the iconic globe shaped building after getting off the train, trust us.
